UKTAMOY TRANLATED INTO PUNJABI FROM UZBEK

BOOK COVERS OF UKTAMOYS' POETRY PUBLISHED IN INDIA



Recently Uktamoy (Uktam Khanum) visited India for the releasing of her new published books in India. ‘My heart is Weeping’ translated in English by Qosim Mamourov and ‘Sada Ronda Ey Dil Mahia’ in Punjabi by poet, painter Swarnjit Savi. Both books were Released in Chandigarh By. Dr. Sutinder Singh Noor and Dr. Saroa and in Ludhiana by Dr. K. S. Kang Vice Chancellor Punjab Agricultural. Uktamoy is translated into Punjabi only after Zulfia Khanum of Uzbekistan, who was translated 20 years back by Amrita Pritam, and this time Uktamoy by Swarnjit Savi. A chain of programmes was organized to facilitate Uktamoy’s books at Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Fridkot and Amritsar.
Everybody including the most important literary critics like Dr. SS Noor, Amarjit Grewal, Dr. Niranjan Tasneem, Dr. Deepak Manmohan Singh, Manjit Indra , Dr. Raina, Navtej Bharti, Dr. Jagdev Singh, Prof. Aziz Parihar, Jaswant Zafar, Devendra Paul, Sushil Disanjh,Dr. Ambrish ,Nita Mohindra, Bhupinderpreet, Gurtej Koharwala,Vijay Vivek, Terjwinder Brar, Dev Dard and Bipan Preet from Punjabi, English and Urdu appricaited the poetry and welcomed the books particularly in Punjabi.
